Well Chris came to Maya's club one night and was pointed up to the office to speak to
the owner. Maya was on the couch recovering from a nice slash up her chest from a pair of claws and when the knock came at
the door she naturally was suspicious. The first time Chris saw Maya face to face was by looking past the barrel of her gun.
She was amused that he didn’t even flinch so she let him in after finding out he was there to apply for a position at
her club. When he found out she was injured he also offered to help stitch her up and she let him do that as well. They weren’t
exactly friends after that, but they were allies. Chris proved himself to be a worthy friend time and time again and eventually
their friendship turned into something more. Maya was against any type of relationship at first, but Chris never gave up on
her and never bashed her for how she acted. This helped bring her closer to him, knowing that she could rely on his help and
rely on him not questioning why she acts the way she does. The deal breaker between them was when Death came out while she
was at his place and was being her “not so into killing, but more into teasing” self. When Death was through with
Chris and Maya became herself again he never once tried to get her to talk about it with him, instead acting like it hadn’t
happened. Between the other men interested in her, he was the only one who would have done that and it was in that moment
that she knew she was going to choose Chris. Her love wasn’t super strong for him at first, being attracted to him,
enjoying his company and knowing she could rely on his help, but as she spent more time with him and he helped her more and
more her love for him grew. Now it wouldn’t matter what anyone would say or do to her, she will not leave him. She’d
do whatever it took to help him however he needed. If anyone ever did happen to take her Chris down they had better run hard
and fast because she will use every one of her resources to hunt them down and kill them slowly, even if it meant dying in
the process.
